I am 22 years old and am under soooo much stress. 1 year ago I tried going back to college to make my then girlfriend happy and secure about our future together so I got a 1500 dollar student loan and I tried my hardest to work and go to school but I was working 6:30 am-7 pm 4 days a week and it just litterally exhausted me and started to affect my job performance so much that I had to withdrawl or lose my job. I now owe 1500 dollars on a student loan and I have racked up almost 2000 dollars in credit card debt because I don’t make enough to get by and pay all my bills. I pay all of my bills including rent to my parents (who I live with) but I’m broke after bills. I need to go to college but I can’t stop working full time cause if I do, ill not be able to pay my bills. I need to get out of debt but I can’t find a job that pays decent without a college degree. My parents won’t pay ANYTHING for me anymore (including college) so I just feel stuck and I’m getting in more and more debt and I don’t know how to stop. Please help!!!

I have just about ,000 in debt from credit cards, and I can’t work full time because I go to school full time. I want to consolidate my bills so theres just one easy payment each month, not 10 or 11, because I can handle one. Does anyone know of any companies that help consolidate loans or credit card companies that give out high limit cards strictly to transfer balances. I’m only 19 and would never file for banctrupcy but I need to get them all organized so I don’t get to far behind in late fees.

And please, no lectures on "oh well you shouldn’t have used credit in the first place, you should have known this would happen." haha Yeah, I know. I’m kicking myself over it now, and I’d just appreciate some suggestions. thanks!

First off, I am a full-time college student. Ok, here’s my situation–I’m a little over ,000 in credit card debt. My monthly payments from all my cards combined add up to about 0, and every one of my cards (with the exception of one at 8%) have rather high interest rates (19%, 20%). Most of them are pretty close to being maxed out. Having to make these payments is really hurting me every month. I would like to consolidate all of my cards through a loan from my credit union. HOWEVER, due to having a bill that has been out in collections (0 electric bill) for the past 3 months, my credit score has gone down. I know you’re prob gonna say just pay it because it’s only a 0, but I wouldn’t even be able to pay that right now without ultimately cutting myself short at the end of the month. Would this mark on my credit inevitably prevent me from being able to secure a loan through my credit union?

Also, if that wouldn’t be able to fall through, do I have any other options at all? I am pretty stressed right now about finances and would really appreciate some educated/experienced advice with this type of situation. First hand experience with this would probably offer me the best advice to this predicament–what did you do to get out of debt? Is bankruptcy (which I know absolutely nothing about) even a good option, or is my debt small enough to where there’s still hope for another alternative? Please respond to this i am desperate to get out of debt! Thanks a lot in advance.

Hey everyone, I need some critical advice: I don’t know what to do. Earlier this year, I had an emergency surgery, and everything went well. I am a full time college student and both of my parents are unemployed and so initially my father informed me that he would pay off the hospital bills via charity, and he did just that, but he did not know that the physician bills, radiology bills, etc were not covered. Well, now I have bills of such kind for over 00 and I have no clue how to pay these, and I am only just turned 20 and a full time college student. I already know that all of these bills are going to end up at collection agencies (2 already have). However, I would like some advice, please give me some advice on how I can pay these off: I don’t have a credit card and won’t have one anytime soon for religious reasons, but I was thinking of going to a debt relief agency or some kind of agency that can pay off these bills and I can pay them off with one monthly payment? I don’t know what to do, and so I figured I can post the question here. Please if you are able to give me any advice, do so. I will greatly appreciate everything. Thank You.

If i have about 3,000 in credit card debt between two cards. I called the collection companies today and they are offering either high settlements or high monthly payments like 100 a month. I go to college full time and I am 19. What should i do, I wanna pay these off as quickly as possible but I can only do so much with paying for college and trying to pay this off plus living expenses at college. HELP please
Should I find debt help like CareOne Credit Services or another credit help service or just try and figure out payment plans myself?? What’s the best overall option in my position?

So I think I’m not quite in debt like some people I’ve heard talk about themselves being ,000 or more in debt. I’m approximately ,400 in debt to 2 credit cards, 1 apartment for damages after we moved out, 1 for Directv, 1 for my cell phone, and I owe my local preist about 0. At t he time I was going through such a financial mayhem and I wasn’t able to pay any of my bills. I was doing fine with everything until I quit school, the money stop coming and my job wasn’t enough. Does anyone know how to get out of debt. I have a job now but I’m so busy paying for my current bills, my 2 stepson’s tuition, my college tuition, & my daughter’s needs. I’m no one to complain of my husband because he’s a full time student and full time father to the children while I’m the financial supporter and part time student. I think my husband getting a job would help but then again I strongly support his education. I heard that debt consolidation is only going to worsen things and I’m avoiding that. ??

I am a 20 year old male working full time. I have a 00 dollar debt with a gym, and another 00 debt with my parents.

I don’t know how to get out of debt! I don’t spend a lot of money on pointless things, yet it seems I still can’t make any progress. Does anyone have any financial advice to help me get off on the right foot?

Thanks

What can child support be used on?
My girlfriend and I split up because of my aggressive attitude towards her and the kids. She has 2 kids of her own and we have 1 together. I am new to fatherhood and so there is a lot of stress on me for trying to be a father to these kids. I’ve done my best after almost 2 years but I’ve become very angry and emotionally abusive to everyone in the house.

I turned to video games as an outlet to relieve stress but every time I get interrupted by the kids or her I snap at them. I even hit my 1 year old really hard. That’s what made her leave, she couldn’t take it anymore and me hitting our child pushed her over the edge.

I realize I have a problem and so I’ve self enrolled in a 12 week anger management program and couples counseling to help myself before I become a lost cause and I lose the ones that I love forever.

I live in California and I have a steady job. She is a full time student, but she receives some financial aid and SSI for a disability. I earn 3/4 of the income in the household.

Between all her debts that she racked up BEFORE she met me, I’ve paid out of my own pocket at LEAST ,000 of it off and we’re still on a 3 year plan for her to be debt free. My credit is immaculate while hers is messed up but steadily inclining.

My question is this: If she and I don’t get back together, can she use child support money to fund her debt repayment? Yeah, I’m sure she can say she’s using her own money that she gets to pay for it, but I’m pretty damn sure she’ll use the child support money towards it.

Would I be able to convince a judge that I’d like to be exempt from paying the state of California child support BUT I will provide EVERYTHING for my child so that I know the money is being used for him and only him using receipts to track the spending? I’ve seen it to many times where the mother would use child support money for herself and not the child.

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY.

No, I’m not a bad person for the things I’ve done. I just happened to do bad things. A bad person wouldn’t seek help and try to better themselves as they tend to be selfish. I have a problem. I need help.

Thanks for your time.

Right now me and my husband are perfectly up to date in our FHA mortgage. Unfortunately we are pregnant…and in sitting down with our budget, consulting both sets of parents, consulting a credit counseling agency…it’s been determined that in about 5 months we won’t be able to afford to pay the mortgage. We have additional debt, and even if we were completely debt free we would still not be able to pay our mortgage and live on what we had leftover. So all of our options are exhausted and we know we have to sell the house.
Obviously, that’s a big problem right now. Our realtor said she’ll list it but that it’s hopeless. Ideally we just want to walk away with our credit (which is currently still good) intact. Is this possible at all? Can anyone help us out with options?

Just to be clear: we’ve already researched our options for keeping the house and know that it’s not feasible…so we don’t just need to re-do our budget, we just need to get out of the house.
edited it add: Even with returning to work we still cannot pay our mortgage. Right now we are barely hitting 0 at the end of each month. With full time childcare services adding to our bills it would make it impossible.

Second this child wasn’t planned although we are very happy to have it. I was told I was completely unable to get pregnant. Go figure.
